I'm not handling pressure in the way I expect of myself

You're used to handling a lot, but recently something has shifted that has meant you are floundering under the pressures you are facing.

On the surface, you’re still managing. It is almost as if 'nobody' notices, because you’re showing up, you’re getting things done and you’re keeping things ticking along and moving. But internally, it feels different. Pressure is no longer something you move through 'productively' to get things done. Instead it lingers.

You might notice, your thinking feels more crowded than it used to, your reactions feel more impulsive as opposed to considered. Perhaps  it takes longer to come back to a steady place after something happens -small things can feel bigger than they should and bigger things stay with you longer than they need to.

Perhaps the pressures are beginning to affect every area of your life and how you operate. It impacts the clarity of your thinking; the quality of your decisions and how you show up in key moments.

You may still be functioning, but it’s taking more out of you – more energy, more effort, more mental space. Furthermore, you may be trying to appease this internal discomfort, developing unhelpful habits which you recognise are getting more entrenched.

This isn’t about not being able to cope. It’s about how pressure is currently influencing your thinking and your responses in real time. When that shifts in the wrong direction - even slightly - everything starts to feel heavier and less controlled.

We will work together to identify the key areas of challenge at the moment. Whilst we cannot necessarily remove pressure, we do work on changing how you handle it, so that you stay steady, thinking clearly and respond in a way that doesn’t spill into everything else. I will address any habits that have arisen, that you wish to stop.

Client Testimonial

I have known Vidya for several years both professionally and personally. It is not often I ask for help (or recognise I need it), but as soon as I found myself in that position, Vidya was the first person I contacted. As a ‘typical man’ who keeps things close to his chest, this was no easy step for me. Despite knowing Vidya outside of a professional capacity, I did not hesitate in working with her. I know that with Vidya the lines between work/personal are clear and kept. Working with Vidya was a difficult process – as you would expect when talking about mindset, confidence and anxiety and other areas – however this was all made easy by Vidya through a highly personalised and tailored approach. Personable, friendly, knowledgeable, skilled and kind hearted – I would not hesitate to work with Vidya again when/if the need occurs. Most importantly, I could not recommend Vidya high enough to others.
I came to Vidya during a period of feeling low and unsatisfied with where I was physically and mentally. Vidya helped me unlock my motivations and or lack of, and address some self-esteem issues I was dealing with. She helped me understand the drivers of this and then to work on building a positive mindset. This had a significant effect on my physical health as well as mental health and self-esteem. It gave me the courage to take the big leap in following a dream I had since a child, without the burden of failure...Vidya’s techniques and mindfulness approaches continue to help me on a daily basis. I can’t recommend Vidya enough!
